About HSE

The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) unit at Partgowal Company adopts a comprehensive approach that includes policies, objectives and plans, guidelines, regulations, standards, and procedures. These are implemented to prevent occupational diseases, work-related injuries for employees, contractors, visitors, and to avoid environmental pollution at the workplace. In this context, and with the company's commitment to identifying, assessing, and then reducing or eliminating occupational health, safety risks, and environmental impacts, the goal is to protect human resources and the environment as the company's assets, and to achieve the “zero vision,” meaning no fatal accidents, occupational diseases, or environmental pollution. As a result, this year the company has achieved the following honors:

  1. Obtaining the Occupational Health Center license for the first time in the western part of Khorasan Razavi Province, under the coverage of the Sabzevar Medical Sciences University.
  2. Awarding the prestigious Safety Committee plaque in Khorasan Razavi Province.
  3. Winning second place in the national mining and mineral industries firefighting competition.
  4. Receiving the top one-star award, the highest award given in the HSE performance audit for managers of subsidiary units of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
  5. Receiving the Green Industry Plaque (commended) at the 24th Green Industry and Mining Conference.
  6. Receiving a commendation plaque at the Second National Environmental Conscience Award Festival in Business, from the public perspective.

According to Khosrowinejad, in line with the continuous improvement and advancement of professional health, safety, and environmental goals and plans, the following projects have been implemented:

  1. Obtaining ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications.
  2. Launching a new six-valent chromium neutralization system for the first time in the country, using the expertise of domestic specialists.
  3. Redesigning the dust collection system for the Silicon Metal unit with the knowledge of domestic experts.
  4. Pouring 15,000 square meters of concrete in areas with soil contamination risks.
  5. Construction and operation of a sanitary wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 200 cubic meters per day.
  6. Mechanizing the dust collection system from the Bag House (dust collector) and eliminating human contact with hazardous factors, preventing potential soil pollution.
  7. Improving ergonomic conditions in product collection and packaging processes in the production of high-carbon ferrochrome and furnace charge material handling in silicon metal production to prevent musculoskeletal disorders.
  8. Implementing projects to reduce environmental dust in the metal processing processes from slag, coke crushing, and raw material crushing to prevent environmental pollution.
  9. Designing and constructing a dust packaging system in the silicon metal production process to prevent environmental pollution.
  10. Organizing sports competitions among colleagues and a painting competition on HSE-themed safety helmets by the children of employees to promote occupational health, safety, and environmental culture.
  11. Establishing a temporary waste storage site for proper separation and transfer.
  12. Using drip irrigation systems to optimize water usage.
  13. Training safety inspectors in collaboration with the Research Center to increase employee participation in identifying and reporting anomalies.
  14. Conducting 6,000 hours of targeted HSE training, including general safety, ergonomics, risk assessment, green management, safety in smelting and casting, defensive driving, waste management, and more.

In conclusion, these actions are the result of the collaboration of a great team that has worked to achieve the slogan "A safe and healthy workplace is a fundamental and basic right of the workforce."
